Casablanca Declaration Watch is an international press review on surrogacy. Every day it tracks legislative and court decisions, cases of exploitation, political statements and abolitionist initiatives around the world, summarised in French, Spanish and English.

It is published in support of the Casablanca Declaration, an international initiative launched in March 2023 by experts from many countries, which calls on states to condemn surrogacy in all its forms and to adopt an international convention for its universal abolition.

Method

Articles are selected from news outlets, official documents and publications by organisations. Each summary links to its original source, which should be checked before any reuse. Summaries are prepared with the help of AI tools and reviewed by the team before publication.

In the election section, a candidate's position is shown only when it rests on a dated, verifiable public statement; it is never inferred from their party's line.
